Ford will unveil the Start Concept - a global city car - at the Beijing Motor Show
We really didn’t see this coming – at least not yet – but Ford have pulled off a surprise ahead of the Beijing Motor Show by unveiling a Global City Car – the Ford Start Concept. We’re pretty sure this really is just a concept – although no doubt a direction pointer for Ford’s aspirations - but the 3-pot Ecoboost engine in the Ford Start is definitely not a concept engine. We’ll start with the engine in the Ford Start.

The Interior Motives Design Awards 2004 received over 200 entries from more than 31 countries and 47 design colleges, further establishing itself as a global competition. Attendees will have the chance to meet finalists from the world's top transportation and industrial design courses, as well as the awards' judging panel.
Ford is recalling nearly half a million vehicles to fix defects that can cause fires or loss of power. About 205,800 copies of the Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivan from the 2004 and 2005 model years are being recalled, because torque-converter output shafts in the transaxle might fail and cause power loss. Ford is also recalling 244,530 Escape SUVs from the 2001 and 2002 model years, which might have brake-fluid leaks that can cause corrosion and fire.
